Δt and what it means

Have you been wondering, what's the use of this Δt interaction time that Dr. B keeps gassing about?

How about looking at it like a car driver?

  1. Is it better to stop short, like this driver...

  2. or to stop long like this guy?

That can be a life and death proposition. You definitely like long stopping time when driving.

New podcast

There is a new podcast in our iTunes U area. It is over the Chapter 2 topics of gravitational weight force and "g" which are in pp. 43-44.

Please forgive my weak voice on this podcast and the lisp and inability to pronounce the letter G! I just had surgery in my mouth, all kinds of stitches plus pain, so talking is semi-discombobulated right now. I hope it will be better in a few days, especially this maddening lisp!

Look for the new podcast with the Boeing 747 carrying the space shuttle. Click the little square icon that is inside the progress bar on the left, and then all the diagrams, equations, formulas and notes will pop out into full screen.

Last learning module, O for Oceans, is for bonus points.

Learning module O for Oceans is now ready.

It is your last learning module for the semester -- actually a blast from the past, reviewing first week's reading topics from Ch. 24, but with a few more in depth concepts added in.

I will be grading the mini-quiz for bonus points, so make sure you make an excellent effort.
