Meanwhile, back at the proverbial ranch...
I will be grading your Writing Assignment 2 papers between now and Friday. As before, I will start with the papers turned in earliest.

Read GradeMark thoroughly.
You must read the GradeMark pages thoroughly. All my suggestions and comments are in there, and your 36 points on WA2 are riding on how well you follow my suggestions.
I have comments with icons in the body of your paper, then you can pop up the sub-window and view

Scores for WA1
It is a pain in the kiester to move your scores from TurnItIn.com over to Webcourses. I will be working on it sometime in the next day or two. But until I get them into Webcourses, you can definitely view everything in TurnItIn.com -- grademarks, suggestions, score etc. -- by clicking your red apple
icon.

Just released some GradeMarks.
I just released some GradeMarks on WA1. So go dip into TurnItIn.com and look for that red apple
icon. If you see it, you can start reviewing my suggestions for WA2.
If you still have the grey apple, be patient.
And EVERYBODY must be patient for the instructions page for Writing Assignment 2, which I will release later this week.

Writing 2 grades finished.
The last few grades are UP for Writing Assignment 2.
Unfortunately, I had to grade the last few manually, so none of my comments show on your GradeMark view. However, I typed my comments into the gradebook, and they will show up in your My Grades page, in the row titled "Writing 2 comment."
Those of you who have GradeMarks from earlier this week, your comments are in the GradeMark view.
Good night!

Writing assignments IN
I see that most of you got your papers in on time for Writing Assignment 1. Good.
What happens next:
* Note: In our pre-grading strategy, you might get a second digital receipt from TurnItIn. This will happen if we upload your paper into a dummy assignment area that my TAs and I will use for working out our strategy. It is like a pad of scratch paper. So do not get nervous if you get another digital receipt.
What happens next:
- I meet with TAs tomorrow (Friday) and map out our grading strategy.*
- Start grading papers.
- Make progress announcements here as we go, when we have grademarked a significant fraction of the 41 papers.
- If your paper is graded, you should be able to see a little
icon -- you'll click it to see our comments and recommendations. - When all are grademarked, we will consult with you about improvements, because...
- Writing Assignment 1A will be revisions, to make your initial paper rock solid.

GradeMark comments icon
When you look at your TurnitIn assignments, and if it is graded, you should be able to see a little
icon. Click on it and you will see my comments, and exactly where and why you might have gotten points taken off.
